Quality Technician

Role overview

As a Quality Technician you will participate in implementing and continuously improving the quality management system and environmental management system.

• Participation in implementation and improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Participation in implementation and improvement of the Environmental Management System (EMS)
• Handling component complaints towards MWI and analysing customer complaints, proposing and implementing corrective and preventive actions
• Carrying out incoming inspection of components
• Ensuring final inspection of production orders (machined parts, impellers)
• Participation in internal and external audits
• Processing data for evaluation of quality indicators
• Cooperation on implementation of corrective and preventive actions in production
• Ensuring analyses of measuring devices, control of calibrations and metrological traceability
• Close cooperation and communication with Customer Service, assembly and machining managers, warehouse and quality
• Actively proposing improvements to the quality management system

Education and experience

• Secondary technical / mechanical engineering education
• Experience in quality in mechanical engineering (e.g. quality inspector, quality technician, foreman in engineering)

Professional knowledge and skills (hard skills)

• Ability to read and understand technical documentation in mechanical engineering
• Knowledge of metallic materials and alloys and their properties (hardness, toughness, elasticity etc.)
• Knowledge of machine parts, semi‑finished products and their parameters (dimensions, surface quality etc.)
• Basic knowledge of machining / manufacturing technologies and common machinery and equipment
• General understanding of quality systems and standards in mechanical engineering
• Knowledge of calibration principles and measurement methods
• Good numerical and computer literacy (MS Office, working with data)
• Czech language is required. Basic English (to read emails and understand instructions) is sufficient; a higher level of English is considered an advantage.
