Job Summary:

As a Strategic Procurement Manager – Electronics, you will play a key role in shaping and executing procurement strategies for electronic components, assemblies, and suppliers globally. This is a strategic role focused on supplier development, cost optimization, and risk mitigation across our electronics category.You’ll collaborate closely with R&D, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to align sourcing with design and manufacturing requirements, while driving continuous improvement and supply assurance.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement category strategies for electronics (e.g., PCBs, sensors, power supplies, embedded systems).
  2. Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and develop long-term relationships with suppliers across regions. Lead RFx processes, contract negotiations, and supplier performance reviews.
  3. Cost Leadership: Drive cost-saving initiatives and total cost of ownership improvements without compromising quality or innovation.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Product Development, and Operations to ensure supplier capabilities align with technical and commercial needs.
  5. Risk Management: Mitigate supply chain risks by building multi-source strategies, managing obsolescence, and monitoring geopolitical, compliance, and logistical risks.
  6. Market Intelligence: Stay informed on electronic component trends, technology shifts, and global supply dynamics.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business (Master’s/MBA preferred).
  2. Experience: 5+ years in strategic procurement, with at least 4 years focused on electronics sourcing.
  3. Skills:
  4. Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management
  5. Category strategy development and cost analysis
  6. Familiarity with electronics manufacturing processes
  7. Effective communication across cultures and disciplines
  8. Personal Qualities: Strategic thinker, results-driven, analytically sharp, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
