The range of sickle shaped impellers has accentuated the need of longer
bosses for both electrical and hydraulic motors. Up until now, the pressure diecasted bosses provided
a cost effective and flexible solution. However, the thickness of the boss was limited due to the risk
of poor mould quality in terms of blow holes. In case of customer requirements where the standard bosses
did not accommodate a feasible solution a fully machined boss could be made, but at a high price and
complicated logistic.
The new range is a compromise of the above mentioned approaches. The Multi-wing facility in China
enables us to machine a standard boss at any geometry at an attractive price. We have chosen three
different lengths at 62, 82 and 112mm all pre-bored to 10mm fitting to the standard 75/5x6,5/BC90. That
covers most needs and make price calculations and editing bills of material easier.
