Finite Element Analysis of 3ZL/AL
Through extensive research and product development, we have designed a strong impeller – the 3ZL/AL –
for use in a variety of small ventilation units. What makes this impeller specifically robust is first
its design, second the material.
The design of the 3ZL/AL is unique as it combines our H and Z design. The actual blade has the shape
of a 3HL while the root is designed as a Z impeller with reinforcement - resulting in a strong blade
with the size of a 3HL. It is designed to have high efficiency and to be corrosion resistant, yet it
is light-weight resulting in less wear and stress on motors and bearings.
The material is also an important element when dealing with strength. The 3ZL impeller is manufactured
in aluminium Al Si12Cu1(Fe) and withstands different working conditions, speeds and temperatures. It
has been tested both with regards to performance and durability at Multi-Wing’s in-house test facility
and all tests have shown positive results.
You have the choice of different hub sizes including the diameter (max. 880mm in a 16 bladed hub) and
bores such as flange, conical shaft or straight, and with a unique, adjustable pitch setting system
ranging from 25˚ to 50˚, the product can be customised to meet your specific performance requirements.
